The main reason “you still don’t know, you know”is your age, maturity and experience with the harsh world , also your bringing up with free and man made modern culture.( I think).
But you being filled with moral and ethical thoughts, contradicting the most corruptive world around you, you couldn’t pull out yourself from materialistic to divine kind….

But insha Allah,—Allah knows what is in your heart and how to bring you up and settle you down where you really want ..
Long ago a sister died heaving her only daughter with her lonely youngersister. This sister had no job and was poor.when everything finished from her kitchen room, the child (about 5years old) started crying for food.
to make this girls stop crying ,she kept 2 plates on the table and told the child to pray to god and he will get some food for her..
Believing her, the child stopped crying and started praying with god for food…then they heard the door was knocking, when she opened the door, her neighbor entered with a bag having some food, drinks and fruits in it and said, I m leaving for my parents hometown, these things were in my fridge, I thought why should I waste it ,so I brought this to you thinking you may accept it. ..

Whether Allah listens to your prayer right there or not, the happening around you shouldn’t be like what you think about, the belief must be like what the child had believed in him. if you cannot believe like that, you still go on confusing yourself and live like a fish out of water then go back to water again.

1. Through Salah, you are to prostrate by putting your forehead to the floor; and as such are grounding yourself, and you are discharging these extra charges into the ground. As a result of this act, you will get rid of many of the neurological diseases from your body.

5. As a result of the fourth benefit, you will acquire a pleasant personality. You will be friendly and amicable. You would not need to drink alcohol, to use drugs or to get involved in vulgarity or immorality.
